Lenevo ideapad gaming does not starts

Last night the laptop was working fine. But this morning it just does not start. The screen is black, I tried connecting it with a monitor but that didn't help either, most probably the screen is not the issue. The fans are working, I opened the panel, cleaned the fan, and ram. Removed battery and then tried without it but no help.

Please help guys, how can I wake this bro up.

Where do I start

Hi I’m 20m and I’ve always had an interest in pursuing computers as a career but being raised in a small town with not such a great support system, I fell out of love with it when I couldn’t do it anymore due to living situations. Ive been working since I was 14 and have not found what I wanted to do, just got a computer again and have been trying my hardest to figure out which direction to go. My main career goal is in the video game industry, but I also have had teachers who did support the dream tell me that I could have a very successful future in cybersecurity/some sort of ethical hacking. Thank you for whatever answers you have!!!

Edit: right now I’m working towards buying the compTIA A+ core 1 and 2 guide and test, hoping that will land me an entry level job with customer support

Help wifi is not working and its fishy

Hey so i was doing assignments and suddenly everything was not working and i decided to restart my laptop like any normal sane human.

But then its not working even after i restart, checked the windows help thing and its showing “youre connected”
Tried the connection on my phone and its working, then i tried using my personal hotspot for my laptop but its not working as well, it showed the exact same thing.

Tried to do the flushdns ipconfig, register dns, netsh windsock but nothing works.

I tried to ping google from cd and it shows 4ms minumum and 4ms maximum with 0 loss.

Any idea ?

Edit : Fixed

Weird screen problem

Got a weird question for you computer savvy folks, what could be causing this? It only happens to games installed on my main hard drive, all other programs work fine and when I take a screenshot it shows the regular screen. All graphics drivers are up to date and its across multiple games

Good cable management?

I have the Corsair 3500x mid tower ATX. The panels have no screws or anything to actually secure them down. They just click right in. I had to spend hours on this to get them to just fit in there with the extra Hard Drives.

My PC keeps showing me this

I have reinstalled my only ram stick, ran the mdsched check, ran the memtest86 check, no errors were found, reinstalled graphics drivers, and also checked my thermals were between 70-80 just a few seconds before the screen showed up, I have no clue what to do now.

What could this line be?

Recently had an issue with my computer losing power and restarting, and then later black screen of death and restarting, as well as an occasional “freeze up” where it could load web pages or YouTube before

Did the general driver repairs for a couple of months and tried to see if it fixed it, and then moved on to examining the ram, which was the case (faulty one found and ram replaced, problem solved).

I’m simply trying to examine possible reasons ram might fail after less than 3 years when I don’t overclock. One thing that I was struck by when opening it to check the ram was there was a strange stringlike substance tangled next to some of the pins near the ram, with a strong, wax feel, almost like dental floss but significantly “harder”. (The case had never been opened in the last 3 years since activation). It was of course removed when checking/testing the ram.

Could that have been shed from a ram card in some way?

ASUS laptop isn't charging

I have an ASUS E410MA - 212.BNCR, Model number is e410m. it was plugged in overnight with a fully working charger, and it wont turn on. charging light isnt turning on and when i plug in the charger, it feels "loose"

Here's pictures of the actual port and looking into the port

I think I need to unsolder, replace, and resolder (my job sells soldering kits so good on that), but where the hell is the solder on the port??? Help is appreciated

Would the game still run without a gpu?

I'm trying to understand computers and how they work because I've built my first one and now I'm curious.

Like does it only translate the game into something visable?
Could we still "Play" the game blind? and would we have sound?

It was a good day!

Saw my local pharmacy was removing a couple of old photo print terminals they no longer used so I asked for them and they were happy to save a trip to the recycle centre.

Both have nice 24" touch screens, SSD, 16gb ram, Asus ROG motherboards and very decent psu's, along with wifi and shit loads of add on usb 3.0 ports with custom built cases.

Now I think I'm going to repurpose them as gaming PC's as I have a couple of 1050Ti cards that need a new home.

Pin Einrichten

im kinda worried abt my psu

so i have a basic office pc. HP elitedesk 800 g4 sff. ive owned 2 elitedesks including this one. specs are i5-8500 vPro, Nvidia Geforce GT 1030, 16 gb ram (4x4gb sticks) and a 475 gb sata ssd. psu is only 250 watts, and was upgraded from 200 watts. it had a problem in the past. a few days after i got it, when i tried to boot up a game, the psu gave up on me (200 watt psu) it was still under warranty so we sent it back to the prebuilt company to get the 250 watt unit in, and hasnt had a hardware problem since. now im thinking about upgrading to an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 LP, but that past experience kinda scared me. so, will and i5-8500 vPro and RTX 3050 LP be safe at 250 watts of psu power?

Toner has been sitting a long time

Hi guys!

If a HP laser toner cartridge has been sitting in the unopened box a long time (say 2-3 years) will the toner or the cartridge go bad?

Thanks!

Is the Sata port on this board usable?

https://www.costco.com/p/-/hp-omnidesk-tower-amd-ryzen-7-8700g-windows-11-home-32gb-memory-1tb-ssd/4000370757?langId=-1

This motherboard is very odd, I am trying to understand it. It has the outline for a secondary M.2 drive, but it doesn't have the header to insert one.

It has an existing sata port, but all the wires from the power supply are in use, but there's also an empty power port above the sata port labeled SATA-PWR. There's no way I plug a wire into this to power the sata, right? That wouldn't make sense to me, that port looks like it feeds the board, not used to power something else

I tried googling the proper way to use this sata port, the most I've found is that the motherboard is called a grady2, but doesn't help me. I don't know what terms to search to find this specific use case on this specific board.

Is it possible to power a drive with some adapter, but still have the sata cable directly connect to motherboard? I had the idea of using USB power somehow, but I'm super curious how that SATA-PWR is supposed to work

Such a strange configuration, would be nice if I could use that SSD2 port, it's even labeled, I wonder if it's normal that my board doesn't have that connector

Is this a good computer??

Sorry if this isn’t allowed but I don’t really know where else to ask this lol. I’m planning on getting a tower soon but I don’t know a lot about computers, I’ve had a gaming laptop for a few years but it’s not very good at running games. I’ve looked at a lot of towers today but this is the only one that my brother says would be worth its price but he doesn’t know much about computers, just the basics. Does anyone else have this tower and is it any good?? Any suggestions are appreciated!! Thank you!
