The more I play, the more I hate firmware
It REALLY discourages experimentation / build variety.
Just picked up a new item and want to see if it helps? Nope, not until you travel to a firmware machine, and hope you’ve got a firmware to transfer onto it.
Want to experiment with a new firmware loadout? Nope, not unless you’re willing to part with that class mod you spent hours farming for. (Edit: I was wrong about this, apparently. I now hate firmware approximately 7% less)
Want to save items for leveling up your other characters? Nope, bank is full of garbage items you’re holding onto for their firmware.
Also, if we’re going this route, why can’t you swap manufacturers parts?

Torque shotgun Magazine - stickies with multiplier
Let us focus on character builds, not farming the same damn boss over and over again for some mythical ‘god roll’ that never drops
EDIT: Ok, I stand corrected that you can overwrite firmware multiple times.
