1 gig internet has been a joke.
I recently upgraded, went from 800mbps to 1 gig and got a new modem/router from Xfinity and ever since my Internet has been so much worse.
It's constantly dropping connection numerous times a day on all devices and it has been way slower at times. I moved the modem/router to the living room, thinking maybe it being too far away was causing the issues, but nope, having the same issue still. Some things straight up won't stay connected to it at all.
I checked the connection on the Xfinity app and it says my router is for sure getting 1 gig, but my devices through wifi aren't even close, I know they won't even reach 1 gig through wifi, but heck I assumed I'd get at least somewhat a faster Internet download speed than before, sometimes I'll get maybe 150mbps download speed, usually less.
Is the new modem to blame? I don't understand when I had the 800mbps plan it was flawless. Nothing disconnected and things ran well, now with supposedly better internet, it's worse.
