The Silk Route Spy

⭐⭐⭐

I finished this book just on the right time when all the emotions of freedom struggle and revolution was high.

The book is short and crisp. Writing is good and just. My only complaint to the author is that she left me longing for more. Not the story in the broader picture but more emotions and the world that existed for our beloved spy. It moved fast just like his life which is fair but i was left desiring for a slow moment of contemplation and reflection of life. A swift read that reminds you that we will always be grateful to the hidden heroes.

The Shadow of the Wind

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ahhh for the first time while writing a review i'm speechless. This one stirred my emotions, made me nostalgic and hooked me to my seat. The writing is as beautiful as it can be and one of the most poetic i've read so far. I can't fit this into any single category for this holds more thrill and adventure but at the same time a feeling of wholeness in it. The Cemetery of Forgotten books, i really hope it exists.........

Bad luck and trouble

⭐️⭐️⭐️

The book is as big as our main character Jack Reacher and the plot , it felt weaker than him. The book is definitely written like it is meant for tv adaption or maybe it just feels like it because of the pace. A thriller book which could've been far better but not still upholds the non disappointing aura of the series. What i hated was the climax, it made sense but at the same time it didn't and then you realise it was stupid and could've been a real banger. Not a page turner but i didn't felt the story to be dragged or slow. Recommended for a change of pace, when you're tired of all the murder mysteries and sci fiction or any other complex or brain wrecking thrillers, this is calmer and linearly paced. Love it maybe not, but worth it.

Never split the difference

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A book of tactics and methodolgy to understand the psychology behind the master of negotiating. Now for those of you who have seen the show suits, you'll recognize many of the techniques used there. So i have high hopes that this will be useful, however i must say that one read is not enough. You'll need at least 2 skims to learn and practice the techniques mentioned in the book. Last thing, the book is well written and at times you may feel overwhelmed by the knowledge bestowed upon you but you won't feel bored.
