Considering the influx of how is it to live here and there “spam” that is dumped here every year I have taken my time to create a definitive
Living in proletarian Herman Krags Brick Blocks:

Herman Krags veg(small block of bricks) is probably the cheapest official SiT place in town excluding renting shared apartments(shared ones provided by SiT are also very cheap at Moholt). You get a room and share a bathroom and kitchen with four others.

For the rooms:
It’s kinda shit, but it’s the cheapest at SIT so what do you expect.
The sound proofing is very poor, especially after the door upgrades; you can hear conversations between your room and kitchen and bathroom and kitchen. If you live in aprt 1 you can also always hear any water use in the bathroom.
You get a 120 bed without duvet and pillow, but with a mattress(some still don’t have this, but they are upgrading)
Furthermore there is a chair, a cupboard, a desk, a standing shelf, a long shelf above your bed and a curtain rod with curtains(the curtains do not block out light around your window frame so your room will never be completely dark in summer. These are also only fastened with one screw on each side by sit and will sometimes be drooping over the window itself making it hard to open)

The bathroom:
It’s also kinda shit, but it is what it is. The water trap in the shower drains are melted to the floor so it’s a hassle to clean. You get half a cupboard to share with one other person( as with most things shared here it has three shelves🫠, fight over the last shelf or use it for toilet paper or something, idk)

The kitchen:
You will get two cupboards for your things, a drawer for utensils, two combo fridge-freezers(however you organise them is up to your mates and you, but usually half each). You also get half a cupboard for your own cookware(of course half of a cupboard with three shelves💀)
The kitchen itself has a stove(no induction top), a filter based fan(remember to clean this if you don’t want oil dripping from the fan onto your food) a table and chairs for four.
Furthermore you get whatever crap has been left there over the ages.
Overall this can be very random.
You might get lucky and get a full set of cutlery, glassware, pots and pans in your cupboard, or you can get nothing. Some apartments come with sofas that have stood there since the last time our lord walked on this here water. Others are even lucky and get a microwave oven, a water kettle or maybe even a hoover. Usually random broken stuff will also be left behind.

You also get a shared storage space in the basement. It’s just a cage with a padlock, there is a key in the kitchen(usually)

For SiT itself:
When I moved in the last tenant had not washed the place or sit had had it empty for some time, either way I sent photos to them and they replied: “we are sorry you feel this way”. Generally though, sit is nice, they give you stuff if you ask nicely(usually).
If you set of the fire alarm you must immediately call the number they gave you with your keys(thus you can swiftly get the alarm disabled and save face and everyones time)

If you communicate nicely with the ppl you live with it can be a decent place to live in and you will be able to thrive in the Herman Krags environment. For most students doing their majors at NTNU however, Herman Krags and Moholt is a first year stop before finding a better place to live and rent with people you actually know(and would like to live with)

All in all, 10/10 would recommend to a student on a tight budget. For everyone else, I’d steer clear

Det virker til at et fåtall har sett hele svaret til super Jonas får kjære finans mann, min oppfordring er nå å se det og få det fulle bildet.

Nå som så mange i skolen er analfabeter kan vi i hvert fall fryde oss over at vi er best på andre fronter:

I over hundre år har Haugen stått som Norges primus motor og desidert viktigste ingeniørbastion.

Nå skal derimot restene av det gamle universitetet flytte in på Gløs til oss andre.

Det er allerede vært protestert og diskutert opp og ned så ingen vits i å tale mer om den saken.

De nye navnene er derimot akkurat blitt vedtatt.

Og hva kaller de så en bygning plassert i Gløs smørøye bare steinkast unna frimerket?

Hva om vi derimot gav dette nye bygget et navn som vi alle kjenner?
Et navn som med en gang fortalte oss hva de drev med der?
Jeg har et krem forslag:

Dragvoll.

Hear me out:
Vi vet alle hva Dragvoll er for oss.
Ordet har en slags dypere mening støpt inn i hjernebarken til enhver trønderstudent.
Med konnotasjoner, koblinger, folk og en bare helt spesiell følelse.
Er det ikke trist at slik en flott idé bare skal gå tapt med tapet av Campus Dragvoll.
Ettersom vi uansett nå skal ha Dragvoll iblant oss, hvorfor ikke bare kalle det hva det er?

For la oss være ærlige… det nye bygget vil jo bli rene personifikasjonen av Dragvoll.
Kall nå bare en spade for en spade
