Nikkei Industry Map (market share by manufacturer), Lumix seems to be doing well.

So the report in question just came out, and to my untrained eye, it looks pretty encouraging: Lumix has increased its market share by 1%, more importantly shipping 150k more cameras compared to the previous year.

Of course, that pales in comparison with Canon and Sony's utter dominance, but it doesn't seem to justify the pessimistic outlook about Lumix' future that some people have.

As an aside, Fujifilm has overtaken Nikon, and that's quite the suprise, to put it mildly.

S5ii - firmware DMW-SFU2 not available, what do I do?

Hello,

I found myself having to record long videos for plays and concerts, so I grabbed a BM Video Assist and an SSD drive. It doesn't record V-log (well, it does: but it's all pink!) and so I realised I need the firmware upgrade.

The problem is, Panasonic's website for my country lists it as "unavailable"; Lumix support has been... Unhelpful ("We're out of stock". It's software! How can you be out of stock?!) and, since I noticed it is still available on the Lumix' UK website, when I asked if I can get it from there they said they cannot guarantee compatibility, as it's for another region.

So my question is, and I know it's a long shot, but has anyone had any experience with this? The support guy told me it might be available again in September, when they launch the new products (?!) but obviously, I'd rather not wait...
