Cops bring 11 year old to identify locker for possible bomb threat. Not the suspect, only in the same class as the suspect.
What legal routes can I take to escalate this and prevent it from happening again? Who do I contact to get somewhere? 11 year old is family of mine and put in danger by the police and school.
Opp and bomb squad was involved.
Complaints have been made to the school, just looking for more advice on where else to report or place complaints.
A bomb threat was made at a grade school, 11 year old was asked by the cops to go to, and point out the locker of the suspect, so the police could clear it.
They said it was not a credible threat, and that's why the child was brought to confirm the locker before searching it(he knows the suspect and what locker they have, not sure how they got this info or why exactly he was chosen other than being in the same class and lockers near eachother) so they could avoid cutting off 5 locks to search the lockers.
The child was not told he did not have to do this. Danger or not, this was traumatic for the child at the very least.
