X-Ray assessment of periodontitis
Hi Dentists,
I had delayed going to the dentist for a year and some change. Today I went and I learned I have mild periodontitis. This was found by looking at my x-rays, and measuring up to 5mm at my worst - specifically around my molars.
I was hoping someone could take a gander at my x-rays and provide some insight as to how bad it looks? I ran out of time talking to my dentist today, and I have another appointment in a month, but I would really like to understand where I stand currently. I thought I took decent care of my mouth so this was kind of a troubling experience.
These were taken prior to my deep cleaning and scaling that they did. I am interested in your thoughts on my bone damage specifically.
Unsettling to know that negligence has cost me something permanent, so I just want a gauge of how bad it looks to a more trained eye.
Thanks
