Candy Pavé by Chemovar has a very different terpene profile compared to the sweeter fruit-heavy strains currently popular on the medical market.
The flower itself was dense and heavily frosted with strong trichome coverage throughout the buds.
My batch leaned more green with subtle darker tones rather than the deep purple appearance some people might expect from the name.
Cure and moisture level were solid and noticeably better than a lot of dry medical flower currently available.
As soon as the tub opens you’re hit with a savoury peppery aroma backed by earthy gas and kush notes rather than sweet candy terps.
Through the vaporiser the flavour comes across spicy, herbal and almost pepper dominant with a lingering dry mouth coating finish.
Personally this terp profile isn’t my favourite as I usually prefer creamy dessert or fruity grape-style cultivars, but patients who enjoy old-school gassy, earthy or spice forward strains would probably rate this very highly.
Effects for me were calming both mentally and physically without being overly overwhelming. I found it beneficial for:
• Anxiety reduction and stress relief
• Evening relaxation after work
• Settling mental overstimulation and racing thoughts
• Physical tension relief
• Helping transition into sleep later at night
The effects felt more sedating over time with a noticeable body heaviness developing after the initial onset.
Overall this feels like a more traditional earthy/gassy medical cultivar focused on relaxation and symptom relief rather than flavour sweetness. Strong medicinal effects with quality flower just a terpene profile that will depend heavily on personal preference.
