Is this Kingmaking???

Ok story time.

I was playing a game last night player 1 is playing Malcolm/Keddis(P1) (P2) playing Kefka (P3/Me) playing NBC kinnan and (P4) Ob Nixilis Kingpin.

I played a con sphinx turn 3-4 and on P1s turn he copied it. He then proceeded to play a Niv Mizzet Parun. He’s got the 1 damage triggers giving him a massive value on the board causing me to fear drawing any amount of cards on con sphinx.

It gets back to me and I try to copy the Niv at upkeep by Chording X4 everyone can tell it’s a copy creature coming. P1 tries to counter. I force in response. P1 changes the target of force in response.

Now here is the crux of the issue. I look at P4(Ob) who has already got a couple of pings out and has a deflecting swat in exile he can cast. I look at him and say if you swat to make my chord go through it will be advantageous. As we have this conversation P1 says it’s king making if that happens and that he will just scoop if that goes through. Effectively stopping P4 from considering to do it.

My question is. Would it be king making if P4 swatted and the chord went through. My main argument for not is that it will most likely lead to both con sphinxes or both Nivs or a mix of the two being destroyed as the ping damage will most likely run into those creatures first, effectively stopping either me or P1 to get enough damage to kill everyone. He’s saying it’s king making because there is nothing gained to advance P4s gameplay by him swatting and giving me something for free. I’m just curious what this community thinks about that.

Thanks for reading!

EDIT FOR ADDITIONAL CONTEXT-

So just spoke with player 1 on this subject as we are good buddies and I am still trying to piece together what he felt was so king making about the interaction. Something that I forgot to mention in the original post is that he did have a flare of duplication on the stack as well copying the Chord of Calling. With that he could grab Tandem Lookout and present a win(that is information that he share) he had also stated that he wouldn’t go for the tandem if P4 didn’t swat which I think went unnoticed in the moment. His main concern and why he felt it was king making was that my Kinnen deck was definitely the highest power deck at the table and he also felt that regardless of the potential killing of the nivs or CS on the field it most likely never would have come to that because he would want to keep his stuff and I would want to keep mine therefor leading to the game leading to another rotation and it getting back to me and me being able to take the win. He also felt that P4 could instead of giving me a Niv that he would be able to keep the Dswat up for when the soul bond trigger of the Tandem lookout came out to stop the win there and effectively stopping him from winning while also not giving me a Niv.

Hopefully that add the context needed to get a general consensus with as much info as possible.

(I’m going to put this edit in the comments as well so please respond there if you feel like this adds context that changes your answer)
