(Very New) Gregg in 5mm Dot Grid?

Hey all,

I keep my notes in a 5mm dot grid notebook with a 100 micron felt pen, and I'm taking an interest in Gregg. Unsure whether I'm going to commit to it, but I'm definitely interested, we'll see if it sticks.

That's to say - I've written my first few shorthand symbols like an hour ago.

I have some concerns, wanted to see if the people who actually know Gregg think they're legitimate: Namely, if I want to write within the 5mm boxes (allowing a small clearance, as I would for 'g' or 'q'), I'm worried that certain words would just not be feasible unless I drew all individual symbols so small that I wouldn't even be able to tell similar symbols apart for the tiny margin of error.

Just as an example with some nonsense word just to get my point across: Consider 'maj' as in 'magic': the circle for a needs to be taller than the circle for e, and the more-vertical-than-horizontal line for 'j' needs to be taller than the one for 'ch'... So you wind up with a tall circle and a tall almost vertical line coming out of the top...

Basically: Does anyone with more experience think writing in Gregg in 5mm is practical, or am I looking more at using 2 dot grid rows per line of text?

B5 Dot Grid Inserts for TN?

Hey all,

Pretty much title: I'm looking for the little soft-cover saddle-stitched notebook inserts, but in b5 size and dot grid (or just grid) format.

The below can be skipped, it's just context.

I keep an a5 tn for rpg stuff (The DM's Companion from GameTee, highly recommended), and I always saw so many different inserts on Amazon it never struck me that it would be an issue to find b5 dot grid inserts, but all I can find are the big 320 page soft-cover notebooks, or inserts that are ruled or blank.

It won't kill me to use blank, but after having used dot grid for so long it's pretty unpleasant. XD

I keep jumping through all these amazon links hoping to find one that has the magical set of options I'm looking for, but I'm pretty sure it just isn't there.

I feel like I could probably just get some b4 paper and make my own inserts, but that still doesn't solve the dot grid issue... unless I like... got some custom printed b4 sheets with two dot grid printed on them, and then there are potential alignment issues... But maybe my only option.
