"It's Always Been There" explores the relationship between Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP), contemporary youth culture, fashion, and photography in the UK. The book traces Carhartt's evolution from a 19th-century workwear manufacturer to a 1990s streetwear icon embraced by various subcultures. Through photographic essays like "Rush Hour" and "Night Tube," and art projects such as "What a Chore: Expressions Through Canvas," it illustrates how Carhartt WIP has become a symbol of identity and self-expression among young people. The visual narratives capture the diversity and dynamism of urban youth, showcasing how fashion and art serve as mediums for individuality and community connection within contemporary culture.

Additionally, the book features interviews and personal stories from creatives—barbers, DJs, artists, and designers—highlighting the brand's influence on their work and lives. It examines themes like authenticity, the impact of digital media on fashion and identity, and the balance between commercial success and cultural integrity. Photography is used not just to document but to interpret and communicate the nuanced interactions between youth culture and fashion. This project was conceived, created and executed with William Spooner and Reuben Douglas.

"FIVE DEEZ, who toured 10 cities across Japan during Golden Week in 2006, is returning to Japan once again!! FAT JON, a super producer known for providing music for the anime "Samurai Champloo" and as an originator of Jazzy Hip-Hop, and who is also active in a wide range of solo and unit activities, and PASE ROCK, whose solo album fully produced by Nujabes was a huge hit and whose recent album '12, featuring Spank Rock, has gained support from ED BANGER fans. FIVE DEEZ, a miraculous group that can no longer be categorized as just one genre of Hip Hop, is embarking on their first tour of Japan in two and a half years!! They
will be joined by woodblue, a top label in the scene that is highly regarded worldwide, DJ OKAWARI, and the project team "Volta Masters," whose CD sales this year have exceeded 30,000 copies, who will be performing a special live show tonight."
