How did mereum knew?

How did mereum knew that welfin was looking for gyro? All welfin said was gyro is the only person he will call king and that's it.

Now it could be spiritual message but i don't think that's how it works you cannot just look into people's minds and take answers without them knowing cuz otherwise he would have found out pouf's secret

Am I missing something?

yk what would be funny if they finally finish the Succession War, reach the Dark Continent, and then in 3 chapters every important character just dies horribly

like not even in dramatic nen fights, they just get eaten by a tree or something like that

then 2 people crawl back home after 70 chapters like “yeah nah they were right”
