I'm still touring apartments and of course they're awful. There's paint buildup, messy/dirty grout and scratched wooden floors. I am curious if I just rent one of these apartments and fix it. I know how to repair these issues, if I do so will that cost me the security deposit? Technically it'll look 100% better, but it won't look how it did when I moved in.
