Beware of false advertising!
My experience with HERS Weight Loss has been extremely disappointing!!
I saw a Facebook ad promoting Semaglutide with a “1st Month Only $39” offer. So I clicked it as I have been considering GLP-1 for weight-loss. After completing a lengthy questionnaire about my weight, goals, and medical information, I was shown a total price REDUCED from $199 to $39. The page also referenced a prescription being provided by a medical professional, which led me to believe I was purchasing the medication and starting treatment for $39.
After paying, I discovered that the $39 was only for a membership fee and did not include the medication itself. This was NOT my understanding based on the advertising and checkout process..
I immediately contacted customer support to request a refund because I would of never paid the fee had I understood what it actually covered. I was told that refunds are not provided, even though I contacted them right away after realizing the misunderstanding. So I asked that my “membership” be canceled, but my refund request was denied due to me being approved for medication already.. basically claiming that I met with a dr and he prescribed my medication. (Which I NEVER met or spoke to any doctor.)
As a single mother, $39 is not an insignificant amount of money to me. Paying for something that provided no value and then being denied a refund was incredibly frustrating.
I’m sharing my experience so others can carefully read all terms and pricing details before entering payment information. What I believed was a $39 introductory medication offer turned out to be a membership charge, and I wish that distinction had been made much clearer from the beginning.
Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Hers (or Hims) to anyone and I pray that others see this post to prevent it from happening to anyone else! I know that I’m not the 1st and won’t be the last unfortunately..
