Guests booked over 2 months ago requesting refund.
We just had someone try this. They booked over 2 months ago, then last week they asked if they could add 1 day. We accepted. A week later the sob story about how now they can’t come. Surprise! We have a strict long term cancellation policy, 48 hrs after booking can be cancelled, after that, no refund. I guess they didn’t realize it was the strictest policy Airbnb has and they couldn’t be refunded. The calendar was blocked for months on a 30 day plus minimum rental right in the middle of FIFA 2026. Now we are waiting to see if they are going to show up our if they’ll try to charge back on their credit card. They haven’t cancelled only requested a refund. After claiming they will be needing surgery why wouldn’t they cancel if it was true? Then we could’ve refunded if the dates got booked again.
