I'm a 25-year old male, ~150-lbs, never smoked/vaped, but I have had this dark spot on my right foot for a while; how concerned should I be?
I've had this faded dark spot on my foot for about the last two-to-three weeks. It doesn't itch, isn't swollen, doesn't appear to even jut out from the surrounding normal skin, it just feels like the rest of my skin when touched with my finger and just looks different. I haven't noticed it growing or otherwise changing at all in the time that I've had it. Applying hydrocortisone cream on a daily basis for a little less than a week has only resulted in it fading to this extent. That being said, I know certain serious skin conditions can start out looking/feeling harmless, so I'd please appreciate some second and third opinions on whether I should get this evaluated at a clinic/hospital. Is it just a mole/freckle? Remains of a bug bite? Or something serious?
