32M Looking for someone who is passionate about history
I only read non-fiction and history. Diplomatic, military, and political history, and biographies are my favorite genres. Below are ten books on my list that I want to read soon or at some point next year. Most of these are quite long, so I’d want to read one slowly and spread out the discussions over 2-3 months. - Diplomacy by Henry Kissinger
- Truman by David McCullough
- A New World Begins: The History of the French Revolution by Jeremy D. Popkin
- The Enlightenment: The Pursuit of Happiness 1680-1790 by Ritchie Robertson
- Religion and the Decline of Magic: Studies in Popular Beliefs in Sixteenth and Seventeenth Century England by Keith Thomas
- A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century by Barbara W. Tuchman
