Horror Fans?

Hello void, I’m in search of a book buddy. I’m not interested in a discord, I would like to get to know someone one on one. I read a lot of extreme horror, it reminds me that people are the real monsters in the world. I have tried doing this before but some of the messages I get….bizarre to say the least. 33 m, USA. I can’t believe I have to say this but I’m not interested in anything romantic. Book chat only please.

26F - Looking for a book buddy!

Hi! I just like the idea of having someone to start books together with, share with each other our thoughts so far, exchanging reviews, and maybe even planning the next read together!

Genres I’m into are: fiction, psychology, thriller, romance, and young adult!

If you’re around my age and are also into similar genres, I’d love to be book buddies!

Looking for a very small book club

Would any women be interested in joining a very small book club on Discord?

4–5 people max because bigger book clubs make it harder to have a conversation for me.

I mainly read horror, thrillers, mystery, and crime. However, I’m super open to other genres too!

I would actually love for this to be a way to motivate myself to read things I wouldn’t normally pick up.

Looking for people close in age (24f) (:

23F looking for book buddies (fantasy & romance) on Discord

Hello! Me and my best friend (both 23F) have made a very lowkey Discord group for any fantasy & romance (+subgenres) lovers. It will be a very low commitment thing, think more like a glorified and well organised group chat rather than book club. Any gender/age/etc is welcome

We aren't picky about who's joining, we just want likeminded people who like the same genres that we do. If you don't like fantasy or romance, you're still welcome to join, but know it will be mostly meant for those genres. But we are always willing to expand and find new book recs 😄

- Share about your current reads
- Do buddy reads with us
- Chat about books, your TBR, book hauls, rant about a bad book you've read, ask others for advice

If you think this is something you'd be willing to join, please shoot me a DM or comment below
Hope to see you soon on Discord

22, looking for book besties

I made a no-pressure Discord Book Club for fellow readers

I've been really wanting to have a little corner for where people can talk about our current reads without the pressure of having to finish a a specific book every month. I'm only opening it to 10 members for now since its my first time running a book club. I want to keep it small so we can really get to know each other and be comfortable.

- Read whatever you want
- Talk about the book you're currently reading
- Share recos, rant
- talk about movie adaptations, music
- Hangout and make some friends

There won't be an assigned book that everyone has to read. Instead, I'd like to have a monthly bookish chat where everyone can bring whatever they've been reading and we can talk about our books together.

If you're interested, Id be happy to send you an invite. (newly built btw, no members as of now)

32M Looking for someone who is passionate about history

I only read non-fiction and history. Diplomatic, military, and political history, and biographies are my favorite genres. Below are ten books on my list that I want to read soon or at some point next year. Most of these are quite long, so I’d want to read one slowly and spread out the discussions over 2-3 months. If any of these sound interesting to you, or if you have any other suggestions, then feel free to send me a DM!

- The Road Not Taken: Edward Lansdale and the American Tragedy in Vietnam by Max Boot

- The Earth Is Weeping: The Epic Story of the Indian Wars for the American West by Peter Cozzens

- Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler: The Age of Social Catastrophe by Robert Gellately

- Watergate: A New History by Garrett M. Graff

- Diplomacy by Henry Kissinger

- Truman by David McCullough

- A New World Begins: The History of the French Revolution by Jeremy D. Popkin

- The Enlightenment: The Pursuit of Happiness 1680-1790 by Ritchie Robertson

- Religion and the Decline of Magic: Studies in Popular Beliefs in Sixteenth and Seventeenth Century England by Keith Thomas

- A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century by Barbara W. Tuchman

(Also, I just finished The British Are Coming by Rick Atkinson and I'm currently reading Battle Cry of Freedom: The Civil War Era by James McPherson, if anyone has read those and wants to discuss them!)

Book club

Hey guys! I don’t know if there’s anything like that here, but I have this very keen idea of being a part of a book club in which for all of us to read the same book for an appointed period of time and then share our opinion.

It can be texts or group calls. We can work out the details together.

I am Europe based. If anyone is interested, please reply.

I also crochet, play games and etc, would love to get to know people with hobbies like mine

Currently reading God Of Fury by Rina Kent

I am at 19% of the book AND I'm already dying from too much emotions going on. I need someone to rant on 🤣🥲 if anybody has read the book, or in the process of reading it OR haven't started yet. Let's go down the rabbit hole together, shall we?

We can talk about it on discord too and we'll rant about it whenever we can 🤭

A little about me: F28 from SEA. GMT+8. I loove to read books but I've been at the lowest point of life where I'm slowly becoming a slow reader (shame) but I don't mind if you're a slacker or go-getter. I'm fine with it.

With all that, I'll be waiting for you and let's get busy (quoted from Angry Birds) 🤭

Looking for someone to have a small book club with

Specifically for The First Law trilogy.

I’m a 31F and started reading The Blade Itself earlier this year, but never had a chance to finish it. I’m wanting to get back into it!

I’m also open to other books/series down the line as well. For an idea of what I’m into, my favorite series are Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb and Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.

I would move to find someone who would like to talk about the books as we read them, such as about our thoughts and theories of where the books/series are going!

M26, searching for a long-term book buddy to yap about favorite books

Hi, I'm searching for a long-term book buddy to talk about our favorite books or recommend some to each other.

I'm currently reading H. P. Lovecrafts complete fiction, some horror short stories and mainly Fourth Wing (will most likely continue with Iron Flame after that). I mostly read cosmic horror or fantasy (also recently romantasy) books but I'm open for any recommendations if there's a great story involved 😊. I'm mainly active on discord. Also a huge DnD fan by the way 🐉.

Just dm me if you're interested and I hope we'll write each other soon ^~^.

28F , anyone is interested here?

I’m quite new to the world of philosophy and reading in general. I’m really eager to understand it deeply, and I’m looking for someone to guide me or start this journey with me. Any recommendations or mentors out there?
