I also read classics and I like westerns (McCarthy) with the occasional nonfiction/political work (Parenti).

Not a fan of fantasy/romance/sci-fi/YA but pretty much anything goes as long as it's good (for example I enjoyed reading Blood over Bright Haven this summer)

I'm 21F looking for friends to chat with on here! Life is hectic lately and I'd like to spend my downtime socialising even if it's just over reddit messages - it would be awesome to find long term friends on here too :)

- ice hockey (I'm a Florida Panthers fan and I also play myself)

- reading (classics, horror, dystopian novels, political nonfiction, anything that seems interesting - not a big fan of fantasy/sci-fi or romance though)

So I'm a long term fan of worlds, being a Finn, Lundy brought me with him to the NHL in 2022. I've never bought memorabilia, but I just found out the national team has an official store that sells jerseys (Leijonat).

Since it was announced that Barky was gonna play in worlds this year I was really bummed to find out the IIHF doesn't sell player jerseys.

Since I don't know anything about memorabilia I kinda thought I'd ask for more seasoned fan opinions - would it be really lame to customise my own Barky jersey?

I'm just super stoked to see him in the Finnish jersey again and I really want one for myself. I just can't tell if it would be cool, or really lame since it's not an official worlds jersey. Would it be a cool item to have? Or kind of pointless considering the jersey itself doesn't have anything to do with Barky, nor with worlds?

I'm 21F and I don't know how to help it. The last 3 people I've been involved with I'VE left because I felt they got attached way too quickly and it made me immediately loose feelings for them. It seems like I'm only attracted to people who are unavailable, and the more I read about avoidant attachment styles, the more that makes sense. As soon as someone starts seeming interested, I shut off from them. I loose all my previously positive or intimate feelings for them.

I want a family for myself in the future. I want to be a good person, I want to be a good so. Every time I feel like I have that going for me, my feelings ruin it, and as a result I feel like a terrible person. I loose feelings overnight for people I thought myself in love with two days ago and it makes me feel like a trash human being but I can't help it. I'm so sorry to the people I've hurt, and I don't want it to happen again. At this point I just don't trust my own feelings for anyone and I should probably steer clear of anything romantic until I figure out how to move past this. I just don't know how.

I used to book club classics with my friend. We'd read a set amount of chapters a week and then discuss (over text - it was effortless) on sundays. That friend has kind of gone MIA and I really miss the vibes of knowing that someone else is also actively engaging with the same content. Made me motivated to find out more background information about authors and also take notes on my thoughts as I was reading. I miss sharing this with someone!
