Hello! If you really want to send me a message, read my post, please! I want to talk to people from European countries because I live In Europe & I would love to meet my new friends In real life (In the future, obviously) 🌸

I want you to read everything because my expectations aren't the same as other people's expectations. I also want you to know what to expect because even though we're all here to spend time with others, not everyone needs new friends. Some people want to find someone to play games with & It's just an example.

I made this account In 2021 and even though I'm really active on Reddit, I can't make new friends... Not everyone on Reddit Is toxic or rude but there's ALWAYS something missing because I don't feel any emotional connection... I would love to change my life & finally wake up excited to text someone I really, really like 🙁 But... Life Isn't easy and I'm not sure If there's still a chance for me to find someone with exactly the same expectations as mine, someone who wants to meet someone new...

• I'm DEFINITELY NOT Interested In small talk! I had to use capital letters because I don't like low-effort messages and I don't even want to read them. Repetitive questions like "How are you?", "What are you up to?" or "What are your plans for the weekend?" aren't enough to start a conversation with me.. Don't get me wrong - Questions like these can be an Interesting addition to conversations about something else, but whenever people ask me the three most common questions In the world - my answer's the same because my life Is quite monotonous and I don't really know what people expect to hear 🙁 I also don't like abbreviations. Abbreviations are shortened forms of words or phrases. Why? I just don't like them because I see no reason to use shortened forms of words that are already short enough, you know? Abbreviations are common among minors and bored adults but I'm neither a minor, nor a bored adult. I want to see emotional maturity, warmth and kindness In conversations with others.

• I don't need to see your list of hobbies to know If you're someone I would get along with! You can tell me what you're Interested In but.. Believe It or not - I'm not like others and even If you're Interested In something I'm not - we can still be friends! What matters to me Is what you're like (If you're honest, talkative, kind, understanding and If your outlook on life Is similar to mine) not what you like.. I honestly don't understand why all conversations start the same way... "I like..." Or "I'm Interested In..." Your hobbies don't define you! It's better to say something about who you are, who you get along with, why you're on Reddit & more.

• I don't want to talk to minors and people way older than me. Why? I don't want to talk to minors because I'm an adult & I don't want to talk to anyone over fifty for example. Emotional maturity doesn't necessarily come with age so you can send me a message even If you're 20 (It's just an example) but please, don't contact me If you want to remind me that I'm older than you. I want you to feel comfortable & I want to feel comfortable myself. When I read messages like "Hi, I'm younger but I hope you don't mind" I always say to myself "If my age bothers you, you should've contacted someone else" I absolutely don't mind talking to people younger than me If they know how to communicate with others 🌸

• PLEASE, Don't use AI to talk to me! I Can't stand AI generated messages! If I wanted to read AI generated messages, I wouldn't be here! I read AI generated messages and comments all the time and I'm sick of It! AI Is both a blessing and a curse...

• I don't want to get any messages from people whose accounts are NSFW! Please, respect my decision! It's none of my business If you're here to find someone to flirt with or If you're an Internet exhibitionist but I don't want to see you with no clothes on - If you want to be my friend & I don't want to know what you want to do with other women In bed. If you are on Reddit to flirt with others, be on Reddit to flirt with others but... don't make an alternative account to hide who you really are just to send me a message. Pretending to be someone you're not - Isn't good for anyone

• I'm not a fan of sarcasm! I do - have a sense of humor but I'm not someone who makes fun of everyone and everything... Jokes about disabilities, death, religion or someone's financial status - are unacceptable to me!

• I also want to meet people who don't mind listening to negative stories and sharing them with others. My life's not easy so If you want to be In my life, you should be prepared for a realistic or even pessimistic outlook on life. I'm definitely not an optimist and I know I wouldn't get along with optimistic people who always tell others "Just believe In yourself and everything's gonna be OK" or something. We don't always get what we want & and It's completely normal to lose hope "for a better tomorrow" after many failed attempts. Not everything's as easy as It seems to be so If all you want to say to someone who needs emotional support Is "Don't complain" or "Find a therapist" Please.. don't send me a message. Not all sad people need therapists and let's be honest - Would a therapist replace a true friend? Absolutely not! Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on! I also don't mind listening to sad stories (even If they're repetitive) because I know what It's like when no one wants to listen to you...

• I would love to meet people who also don't have anyone, you know? There's absolutely nothing wrong with having friends and not being single but I'm single and I don't have anyone special In my life... It's just easier for me to get along with others If there's some common ground. I just feel better talking to people who know what It's like to be completely alone & let's be honest - People who have friends or partners, have less time for others...(which Is completely understandable) and I? I don't want to feel like an option, again. I'm not here to meet as many people as possible because I choose quality over quantity 🌸

• If your comment history Is full of comments "If you want to talk, hit me up" don't send me a message. I don't want to be rude but If It doesn't make any difference to you who you want to chat with - I'm definitely not for you. I want you to be my friend because of who I am! (If after reading my post you think you'd get along with me) I don't need emotional support from someone who doesn't want to get to know me. Words of comfort can be really beautiful but anyone can say "Cheer up" or "Everything's gonna be OK" and I feel like people who seemingly want to make others feel better, don't even believe their own words...

• I want to talk to people who love and use emojis 🤭😊 Why? Emojis help us express our emotions even If others can't see our faces. Two emojis "😊" and "😔" are completely enough. You're probably surprised but.. text messages without emojis are really emotionless...I also don't like it when people say "yeah" or yea" as it sounds dismissively. First impression Is everything to me! I want to see your kindness even In a text message

Ps. I don't like kids and I don't want to ever become a parent. I just thought everyone should know that just In case. I don't want any unpleasant conversations with anyone. Not everyone wants to be friends with people who don't want kids so.. It's better to be honest. 🌸

I didn’t think adulthood would feel this lonely.

Everyone talks about freedom, money, careers, relationships… but nobody really talks about how isolating it gets. You wake up, work, deal with responsibilities, pretend you’re okay, then sleep and repeat. Somehow everyone seems busy, unavailable, or already has their own circle.

I miss when talking to people felt easy. Now it feels like everyone is emotionally exhausted or too distracted to genuinely connect. Even messaging someone feels like I’m bothering them sometimes.

The weird part is I can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.

I know I’m not the only person feeling this, but it still sucks. I just want someone I can casually talk to without feeling like I’m forcing a conversation or being “too much.”

Does adult life eventually get less lonely, or do people just get better at hiding it?
