Just watched the Anime's first episode. Some thoughts:
Ever since i first played the game it was my dream to see an anime of it, and for the longest time i thought the suikogaiden cutscenes were the most we'd get in that regard. I'm so glad to be wrong. They did an admirable job moving the pace along in this episode ,considering its mostly gameplay with little story in this part of the game.
Riou is a lot less awkward speaking than i thought he'd be, and its also great to see him take a more active role*.* The added scenes of Agares and the war council makes me think they'll focus more on developing the Highland characters which is sorely needed.
All in all, this episode makes me very hopeful for the rest of the series, they seem to really want to do the games' story justice ( even including the ost!) and i can't wait to see the rest of them!
