Years ago in LA, while studying with the local OTO, the Master Frater Hrumachis was giving a lesson about the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica. I'll always remember he made a distinction between the EGC and "The other Ecclesia Gnostica'. This 'other' Church was run by Stephan A. Hoeller in Hollywood, and it was a completely different organization; but both shared the 'Ecclesia Gnostica' in their name. Anyway, Stephan Hoeller died today at the age of 94. He is/was/will be remembered as a titan of Western Esotericism in his published works and through his lectures. I was fortunate to attend his final lecture and today attended his Requiem Mass. The song by Killing Joke, 'Requiem' popped into my head, and I remembered Jaz is a Thelemite.
