I feel like at least at the time they were filming the show it would have been really easy for him to drive to Atlanta or Athens and do a show every now and then but as far as I know it’s been years and years since he’s done one. I’m speaking completely selfishly, of course, but hey I’m flying from GA to Dallas to see him on Halloween!

Does it hurt less than a bare fist? I know they’re designed more to protect the puncher’s fist than the punchee’s face, but it seems like it would have to dull the pain to a degree for boxing matches to last as long as they do. I’ve felt some gloves that are much softer than others, I’d assume that would make a difference but when something is coming at you with that much force, maybe it doesnt? It seemed like in pro matches a long time ago, the gloves looked a lot softer than they do now, was that true and how did that affect the experience?
