All our encounters with the guardians and SWORD wielders had shown a real bad side to it.

Ex:

Blackrock King, died after beating him, probably from the excessive usage of the Ice Dagger

Brad stabbing himself, turning himself into a plant monster creature.

Ghostwalker, just trauma.

Firebrand, with captain dying to get ancients and being sealed away in the firebrand.

The wind force hasn't shown any signs of aggression or mutation or gods hiding behind it, which is why the player uses it to attack.

I think the player is worried about what might happen if he used the swords offensively, using the Ice Dagger to heal, using the Venomshank to give poison, Ghostwalker to make yourself dodge a move, and so on and so forth.
