Went on a buying spree this month, time to refresh the clubs/update technology. Since I'm trying to play more, I decided it was the right time. Replaced my 20 year old putter a couple of weeks ago. Currently waiting on a new set of irons (had my others for around 12 years), replacement shaft for my driver (don't like the stock shaft), and 3HL fairway wood (has adj hosel, looking to replace my old 4W and Callaway Preowned had a great deal). Can't wait for those boxes to start showing up, it's like waiting for Christmas!

I am in a league that plays a couple of different courses and is planning different games throughout the summer. I will have one round at a course I am very familiar with where we need to pick 4 clubs to use in addition to putter. I am thinking giving up yardage to use 4w as one of my clubs, rather than driver, would be a good strategy since I can also use it in the fairway (not gonna try driver off deck). I’m guessing the best approach is to assume scoring will not be the point and try to get creative with other shots.
Right now I am leaning towards 4W, 5H, 8i, SW (56*), putter. Anyone else played this format before?
