Trade Suggs and WCJ, Suggs, I never liked him, I understood for many he was an energy player, but not only does he get injured often, but he also plays possum until on offense. If his only value is he motivates others, we have bigger problems. Statistically, he is a Marcus Smart archetype, and Smart averaged more in the playoffs, making $5 million vs. Suggs making $30+.
I know a lot of people will have opinions of this. Trade him to Chicago for Giddey. Makes less, averages more rebounds, and assists along with (forgive the Magic curse) 35%+ from 3.
WCJ was a waste of a player ever since we drafted Paolo, WCJ is a PF in a C body. He had a good playoff game or two, sell high. I am a person who believes that with this team, our C should be a lob threat and block enthusiast.
WCJ for Claxton, young, cheap, and more the archetype we need. "Oh spacing," we fired Mosley, that's the new coaches problem. Tell me Goga wasn't better than WCJ, and I know your ball knowledge.
The closest WCJ comparison is later years Ersan Ilyasova tbh, 10 pts 7 reb under 35% from 3, but that's his vibe.
