Backout Maneuver

Looking to add a door on my shed for my X420. Since it docks with the front it does it's little backup 1/2 of it's length or so and then does a hard 180 deg turn. If I put it's dock so that it pulls the entire way into the shed, but put walls on the side where it docks, will the mower back completely out before turning or do I need to make sure it has enough room in the shed to turn before leaving?

I’ve been missing out

I really wish I had just done this years ago. I’ve always wanted to try skateboarding, but didn’t want to break my arms and legs so I never tried. Lately, Instagram has introduced me to and been hitting me up with longboarding content so it repeaked my interest.

I just went out for the first time today on this Loaded Dervish Sama I picked up used. Man, what a blast. I feel like I’ve really been missing out. It was so chill just cruising along.

Being day numero uno, I for sure have a lot of work to do. Still need to work on my foot braking; it takes a skip or two before I can slide my foot. I haven’t sorted or gotten the confidence yet to take a sharper curve, I can only turn enough to avoid obstacles. Also my pushing leaves a lot to be desired. It’s not very fluid and after a bit over an hour (some back and forth in front of the house and a 7km loop) my ankle was starting to get sore (I’m sure old age is a factor too).

Anywho, had a blast and kept all my skin so far so I’m going to call it a success.

Day #1 - Yea this is going to be fun

Been lurking in here for a few weeks since Instagram repeaked my interest in wanting to learn to skateboard. A week or so ago, I picked up a used Loaded Dervish Sama to try and learn on. My pads and helmet finally showed up later this week so today was literally day #1 one any sorta skateboard and a long way to go.

I spent maybe 30-45 minutes just going back and forth in front of my house to sort out actually standing and pushing. Then just took my kids on a bicycle ride and road the board in the bike/ped paths.

  1. Foot braking is still a bit difficult. I have to do a hop first then I can slide and things get squirrelly really fast on any sorta hill. My trucks aren’t completely lose, but I do have them righted about 2-3 threads showing. Anyway I’m glad at the moment that it’s flat where I live.
  2. Making a turn around any corner is still impossible for me. I can avoid obstacles, but no way I can make a turn.
  3. My pushing has a long way to go to get smoother. My foot got sore because I’m like a tripping elephant.
  4. This shits fun; hopefully I can get the above sorted quickly.
