1997 Geo Metro - What's a reasonable offer?
I found a 1997 Geo Metro 3-cylinder 2-door hatchback with a 5-speed manual transmission and 200k miles on fb marketplace for $3900, but I've seen them sell for half of that (in worse condition). Cosmetically it seems great except for some wear and tear on the driver's seat (I haven't seen it in person yet). Seller says no damage, nothing wrong with it, clean title, AC and heating, good tires and good suspension.
I don't want to be ripped off but it's hard to put a price on steez, the seller is calling it a "classic" car. I'm a student and don't have much money, but I can afford to pay in cash up to their asking price. This is my first time buying my own car and I don't know any car guys (I do plan to have it inspected), so my question is:
How much should I be willing to spend before I walk away? Thanks.
