Image 1 — How hard would it be to convert a PAF style humbucker into a 6 pole single and a 3 pole bass side single all in the same H cover? Me or more likely a custom pickup manufacturer.

Buddy of mine is enamored with the Bacci baritone with separate bass side pickup with its own jack. Since neither of us can afford the $8000cad on a whim purchase, but modding a squire. . . We're going to attempt to emulate the circuitry on a squire baritone jazzmaster I ordered (not available until mid August). My current idea is a split humbucker in the neck position. I've seen forums of guys using half a P bass pair or a cigar box 3 pole to do something similar. Those need an extra route in body and guard. I think it would work well enough as a proof of concept with a modded humbucker. I don't have a winder, so I'll probably contact someone to do it for me. The circuitry otherwise I can handle. (Unless someone wants lend me a winder. I'd happily try it myself)
