What to do with 0% interest credit card after promotional period ends and when can I open another?

I currently have a few credit cards, my chase 0% credit card is about to come to an end and I intend on paying it off in full. I purchased a holiday and would like to buy another one but since the chase credit card no longer has a promotion, I would need to pay it the next month to avoid paying fees.

When I maxed out my chase with the holiday, I opened another credit card for regularly spending but the credit limit is low. Knowing my chase was coming to an end soon, I requested a credit limit increase on my second 0% credit card but it was rejected, possibly because of the credit limits I have on all my others combined is high.

Since my credit card limit increase was rejected I assume that applications for new credit card would most likely also get rejected due to the amount of credit I already have, so would like to close my chase to free up some credit be the next step? And how long after closing my chase should I wait before applying for another 0% interest credit card?
