1995 Saab 900 S 2.3 - Replaced battery and alternator. What systems need reset/recalibration?

Replaced the battery and alternator on my 900 s auto 2.3 vert. Car went into limp mode about 2 min into the drive. I think I need to re-calibrate the TCM and/or the TPS as I didn't let it do the 10 minutes of idle on start up.

Are there any other systems that need to be reset or re-calibrated like the TCM/TPS?

'95 900 S 2.3 Troubleshoot issues after alternator install

Ok, kinda lost for where to start on this issue.

  1. Installed brand new battery (car was sitting for 7ish years) died on me after driving about 3 times.
  2. Tested the alternator and it wasn't charging the battery.
  3. Replaced the alternator (wow worst placement I have personally dealt with).
  4. Tried to start if after charging the battery a bit and dash lights come on but it can barely crank.
  5. We try a jump box, turns out the jump box is half dead, same results as step 4.
  6. We connect jumper cables to try jump it off my other car.
  7. On key turn we hear an audible click/pop, all dash lights go dark. Will not crank of light any dash lights now.

This is where I am now. First thing I checked were the maxi-fuses by the battery, they're all fine, tested them with a multi-meter. Double checked the battery cable, its very snug. Should I start hunting down grounds now? Anything else I should check? Thank you!
