Why doesn't Mrs. Bennet push Mary on Mr. Collins, instead of Lizzie?
I mean I guess it's because she assumes Lizzie will do as she's told and accept a proposal. But Mary is clearly better suited to him. Maybe Mrs. B (misogynisticly) assumes Mr. Collins won't marry anyone who's plain like Mary? Or is it that the elder sisters are intended to marry before the younger ones?
For some reason I want to think Mrs. B's smart and practical enough to see that Mary and Mr. Collins is her best bet. Is she just denser than that?
