LatAm travel prices

I know this is a South American travel community but I can’t find one that’s Latin America.

I’m travelling to Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Brazil from Aus next year for two months
(I’m aware it’s a short amount of time and also a silly itinerary as they’re all so far apart but I’ve made up my mind and willing to spend the money on flights)

Just wanting some help from anyone who has backpacked there! Specifically solo females, how much money did you spend when you pack packed these countries? And how long did you do in each one?

I’m doing the basic tourist stuff in each place.

Mexico City/ Merida

Guatamala city, Antigua, Lake atitlan

Lima, Huacachina, Machu Picchu, Rainbow mountain

Rio de janerio

I’m open to opinions
Again I’m aware I should just be spending this time in one country as it’s so big but I’m doing it more as a taster, I’ve been to Indonesia and Thailand and stayed to one area for 10 days in each and enjoyed that, so two months for me seems like a huge amount of time compared to other places.
Also visited the USA last year and max spent 14 days in NYC and loved it. Not phased on seeing the whole country yet!

Thankyou!!!

Backpack recommendations / advice for LATAM

Hi I’m planning to backpack LATAM next year
I’m a woman from Australia I’ve seen people say osprey Fairview 55l is the best option

I’m just wondering, as I’m going to aim for dry season for Guatemala April ish to Dry season Peru May ish, and I have hikes planned (Fuego, Rainbow mountain for example and more)

Is this bag going to be big enough? As I know I’ll need to pack a jacket and hiking pants and layers for when it’s cold at the top of the mountain, but when I’m travelling around its most likely hotter weather so I’m packing for cold and warm weather essentially…

I’m also aware it’s not waterproof so I’d need to invest in a cover for the bag if the weather decides to rain

Any recommendations or advice on what I should do? I want to try pack as little as possible to not regret packing too much (first solo backpacking trip)

Travel Tips I’ve never been to Latin America

Hi guys!
I’m from Australia and I’m reallllyyyyyy wanting to visit Latin America!!!!

Unfortunately with work I won’t be able to take off a lot of time, I’d love to go for a month+ but unfortunately I’m unsure how much leave I’d get

I’m really set on going to Peru, Guatemala as my absolute musts.
There are direct flights into Chile.
I would love to go to Mexico as well and Brazil.
Would these 5 counties be good to squeeze into one trip? Or should I add more?? Or skip one and pick another?

Main things I’d love to do it
Machu Pitchu
See Huacachina Oasis
Rainbow mountain
Volcan de Fuego and Acatenango
Sight Patagonia
And see Rio, although worried about it solo travel there

How long would you recommend in each country?
What are some must see/do activities
How much should I save.
Is it worth going for less than a month? (Considering I’m from Australia and seems to be USD conversion majority)

Thankyou so much any advice I’d appreciate
