14 KT, marked JP (JR?) pearl necklace bought sometime in the 1990s. Help identifying maker.
Hi guys! Forgive the blurry first picture. I ended up taking a screenshot of a photo already taken so you could see the mark. This was a gift from my mother for my 12th grade graduation 6 years ago. My father (they have been very much divorced for years and hate each other so she was very eager to give it to me lol) brought it for her in their marriage sometime in either in 1999 or before. My father and I don't have a good relationship so I can't ask him and my mom have absolutely no clue. (There is a gold bead flattened and the story goes that my oldest brother when he was a baby got it into his mouth and flattened it before my mom noticed, which is how I know it's at least from around that time as he was born in Jan 1999.)
I tried manually searching "JP" and keywords only to find nothing but japanese pearl necklace sites. The texture against your teeth lightly is gritty so I'm assuming it's real but besides that I really don't know much about it. I would reverse image search but my phone has been temperamental and won't let me.
