Need help saving Retroarch custom config on RG SP

Need help saving Retroarch custom config on RG SP

Edit: Solved! Solution at the bottom

Title. Got the RG SP and no matter what I do I can't get it to save my changes. I HATE bezels and I want to play with the largest possible screen and remove the grids (I don't care about pixel perfect, I just want to play GB games on something larger than a stamp). But as soon as I reload a game all my changes are gone.

I've unloaded overrides, and saved config, but the option to not load overrides on boot is just not there on the settings.

I have very little experience with stock OS, but I don't want to flash Rocknix until they move from nightly to an official release. How do I stop the overrides?

Solution for others (or future me): installed the Modded Stock OS on a new card and one of the settings during installation is how restricted should RetroArch settings should be. "Open" allows the user to change all settings and doesn't override anything when opening a new game.

ReStory - Ship of Theseus: The Videogame)

This restoration game has really made me ponder: At what point do you consider an object to still be the same object when you've repeatedly replaced all of its components?

This is the most egregious example, literally every component on this phone was broken and couldn't be saved besides the circuit board. If 99% of the phone is made up of brand new parts, am I even giving it's owner back the same phone anymore? Am I "restoring" or "replacing" the phone?

In the game, I've had a Motorola Razr phone and a Tamagotchi (I mean, eggotchi) that I've repaired multiple times, every time swapping out components. So far I've lost track of which of the eggotchi parts are still original since it arrives mostly destroyed every time. The Motorola Razr clone isn't doing much better, I'm sure I've replaced the screen at least 3 times thus far.

In another late game instance I'm told a specific laptop contains vital information that the owner desperately needs. I open it up and the hard drive is fried, I proceed to replace it with a brand new hard drive from the in-game ebay stand-in, and somehow I'm still able to pull out this very important data from the brand new hard drive...

Maybe that ghostly shape is meant to represent the "soul" of the device, and even if I also replace the circuit board, it can still be considered the "same" phone.

[CHAT] Need help/suggestions on how to pick out the colors in only a section of a pattern.

I bought this pattern from SODA which is beautiful, but huge. I plan to stitch each card as a separate piece instead.

Is there some tool/app/enchantment that would help me quickly identify which colors are on each card of the pattern? I'm already buying a ton of colors for other projects and I'd rather not buy all the colors for this design at once and instead buy them as needed (particularly Alice and the Cat for now).

Does pattern keeper or any other app have an option to do that?
