For The Fallen Dreams - Without You
I totally understand that this album is quite divisive. It's a misstep artistically speaking, with some questionable choices with regard to their sound, especially considering it is their self-titled album: contemporary super-downtuned guitars, little to no emphasis on melodic ambience, ham-fisted rapping/spoken word parts lacking oomph and an overall artistic direction seemingly concerned with getting radio play and algorithm pushes, making them lose the more human and vulnerable elements and overall messaging of the band.
That being said, there are some huge positives here. I think this song is one of the standouts where the record's strengths really come through. Love the guitar in the intro and during the solo. Chad really grew as a vocalist on this record. Some of his screams are downright gnarly. Not only that, I'm very impressed with his first attempt at clean singing, too. With how the hooks are written, I can definitely see them making some huge songs in the future, provided they go back to their roots - which they seem to be doing, judging by their recent interviews.
Anyway, just wanted to give this band and album some flowers before their next album drops, as their music has helped me tremendously and I feel people give them far more shit than they really deserve.
Love these guys.
Hundredth - Remain & Sustain
The leads on this song are so heavenly!
Saosin - Is This Real
Sorry to offend anyone, but I personally think this album isn't as bad as it's made out to be. Some real standout tracks, like this, on there. Cove really pushed himself on this record.
Falling Cycle - Repair (FFO Bleeding Through, It Dies Today)
youtu.beThis Runs Through - Kiss The Envelope (Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath's old band)
Hey guys, just wanted to say I hope you've had a great summer thus far 💙
I'm just focusing on my recovery as much as possible at the moment; I've gone through some deep, dark valleys this year, but am much better compared to before. Lovely to see you all breathing life into the community again. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of your summer 🤗
After The Burial - To Carry You Away
One of the songs that made me fall in love with ATB. Very poignant song about grief. Lovely guitar solo with some neat sweeps, too.
I The Breather - Longevity
THEY CAME AND TOOK IT ALL AWAY
MY FAITH, MY LOVE, MY FAMILY!
