2012 Nissan Frontier, broken shifter linkage bushing caused by misaligned clip?

One of my work trucks was stuck in drive on Wednesday and even when the shifter was put into park or reverse, the truck moved forward. Had him drive it to our shop and pulled apart the center console. I found the shifter bushing had broken off so I temporarily reattached the end of it to the shift selector and got it into park reverse and neutral. When shifting into drive however, it had alot of resistance and then would pop off again. I found a video online showing this clip being an issue and sure enough, mine was getting caught too when putting it into drive. The video talked about moving the clip back into place and then tightening down the screw but ive tried that and it still gets caught as shown in the video. I loosen the screw and then move it toward the center of the vehicle toward the passenger side, try to hold it while i tighten the screw back down but it doesn't seem like enough and still sticks out.

Any tips or tricks to this? Do I need to replace it?

Help with fleas

Im in serious need of help with fleas.

In NE Florida and my property has been inundated with fleas. We had some inside about a month ago that i managed to control with permithrin and an IGR i bought on Amazon. Haven't seen any back inside, but outside is a whole different story.

I have 2 cats that were outside but have been back in and treated for over a week. No other domesticated animals but have seen raccoons, possums, armadillo and lots of squirrels. We have a 20x30 screen in lanai with a wood deck that's partially raised a foot or two off the ground and they've totally infested it.

We get a few in the yard, but the majority is this lanai. Ive sprayed permithrin, the IGR, and flea bombed it. Ive also called out a local company who sprayed Tuesday(both yard treatment, and 2 cans of something in the lanaei) but im still getting them. The company gave me a 30 day guarantee so im going to call them Monday but these things seem indestructible. Im at a loss that nothing seems to work.

My working theory is something is living under the lanai that's infested and causing them but ive set a trap with no luck and haven't heard any evidence of something there. My next step is to try to pull the boards up and look.

My next door neighbor told me the previous owners (7 years ago) did something on the property that supposedly according to him, stirred them up and they had to call a pro out. Im not sure that's even possible. They did start after I started digging in the yard for irrigation a bit ago but not sure if its coincidence or not.

Please give me a some guidance
