Hi all, I’m trying to purchase a figure 8 that conserves height as much as possible. Most of the ones I’ve found have been about 7 inches long which is not terrible but I wonder if there’s more height efficient options out there. Of the ones I’ve found I’m most interested in this one and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. I’m looking for stainless steel ideally.
I got a really good deal on a secondhand xpole a frame but because of the height limitations I’m most likely going to stick with just hoop (single point), hammock, and maybe aerial pole. I’ve been looking at ways to save height with the carabiner and swivel and I’m most interested in the dmm mini swivel so far but wanted to know if there were better options. The petzl swivel open also looks nice but I also read that it doesn’t have the best spin.
I’m also looking for small but safe carabiners. I know that black diamond has a good reputation for carabiners but I’m a little overwhelmed by choice on their website and I’m wondering if there’s a good compact option either from them or otherwise.
Any recommendations for a good place to get a short low or medium stretch hammock also welcome.
