Why does my adult cat bother the kitten?

It seems like when the can is active, my adult cat will chase him and pin him down and bite him. And then when he's relaxing and minding his own business, he'll come up to win and just start swatting him or biting his tail. Does anyone know if this is normal? If I should do anything like intervening or if I should just let them be and figure it out? Very new to this. Any advice would be great.

Just got a new kitten with adult cat

Hey everybody, I just got a new kitten today and it seems like him and my older male cat are getting along. The older male is just over a year old and neutered and the younger one is also male about 13 weeks. Just want to check that this is normal. Behavior doesn't seem like the kitten is in any harm, but the male cat that's older is running after him and seems to be nipping him.

Young kitten is very brave and seems to be happy to explore and play. I just don't want him to get annoyed or scared by the adult cat playfully attacking him
