Completed Act I of LUMEN! 🎉🎉🎉
Just a small milestone I wanted to share 🥰
Around six months ago, I started posting a fantasy/dieselpunk story called 'LUMEN: Rebirth' on Wattpad. Today I published chapter 41, bringing the first major story arc to a close.
The stats aren't huge by Wattpad standards, but I'm still proud of them:
- 87,734 words
- 280 pages
- 41 chapters + 3 Prologue chapters
- 3.2k+ reads
- 440+ votes
- 2.3k+ comments
The biggest thing, though, is that I actually finished something ambitious.
Like a lot of writers, I've started plenty of projects over the years. This is the first time I've sat down consistently for months and carried a story arc all the way from idea to completion.
I've decided to use Wattpad's new Seasons feature and split Book 1 into three Acts. Act I is now marked as Complete while I revise, polish, and prepare it.
The Wattys 2026 are fast approaching, after all... 😏
