Built a small app to manage my filament with CC1 CANVAS & NFC Tags, free & open source
Set up my CC1 Canvas system today and wanted to get all of my existing filament spools working without having to manually enter them, I didn't really like the existing apps as they were either a bit janky or crowded with features I didn't want or need, so here's my simple solution, scan existing (Elegoo-compatible) filament or create new filament and write it onto NFC Tags to use with your third party spools, then just hold the nfc tag up to the canvas system and it will automatically detect what kind of filament and colour it is.
NTAG215 NFC Tags work fine from my testing and are readily available online.
APKs are in the releases section, I'm also working on getting it available elsewhere (namely Play Store and maybe F-Droid if i can figure out what they need me to do), although that will probably take a while.
