Anyone listen to DET and hear them laughing about their podcast rating being poor? It didn’t land the way I think they expected it to…it seemed like a pathetic attempt to poke fun at the fact that people are not loving this set up anymore. If they had a larger audience, sure I could get the poking fun at yourself, but this clearly is a sinking ship so it just makes them look sad. I’m not exactly sure how podcast contracts work, but I kinda took their attitude as ‘we will ride this thing til it dies’ simply to collect any minute amount of ad revenue.

I know, I know, if I am annoyed why listen? DET, I have still been enjoying. Their latest ‘snark’ episodes I was skipping, but still listened to DET just to hear the latest in pop culture. Anyways, I just came to say how annoyed I am with Christy choosing to mispronounce Taylor Swift’s mom’s name. It is Andrea (AN-DREE-UH), and today (and I believe other times) she kept saying ON-DRAY-UH. As a Swiftie you would think she would know that. I have heard her mispronounce others names and at this point feel it’s confirmed that she is selecting pronounce a name because she thinks it makes HER sound more intelligent. It doesn’t, it makes you look like a jerk to selectively choose to mispronounce someone’s name. Also, drop the buzz words like nefarious, insidious etc. you actually sound less intelligent when you consistently use these words.

Also, maybe I need to stop. This is it with listening. I’ll be curious if Thursday’s episode with Olivia and Rachel is better than one delivered by Christy and Sophie.
