Toga’s Obsession
So I’m less than an hour after having watched Obsession (10/10 horror movie, holy shit was I half watching the floor out of fear and still getting scared.) and I can’t help but immediately think of a fic in the style of the Obsession movie with Toga Himiko.
It feels like she’s the right character to set up an initial wholesome ‘Toga is good and in love’ with either Izuku or Ochaco and it slowly and disturbingly evolves into a horrifying relationship where every single moment has you on a hair trigger.
I think her transformation quirk being the initial trigger for the descent is obvious but I can’t decide on how you would go about it. My first thought was that she would be offered the chance to transform into her partner and then the mental split would happen that causes the obsessive behavior. My other idea was that she would drink her own blood and intentionally or not activate her quirk, which wouldn’t have a physical effect, but would instead have the mental effect of essentially giving her quirk a mental persona within her. In that persona lies one true desire, transform. Transform into others, transform others into her, transform herself and others into the polar opposite of themself, transform someone into their truly most despicable, piteous self. Transform Izuku into a self-absorbed, cowardly, vindictive victim-complex person only capable of feeling bad for himself and not taking any accountability or trying to get himself out of bad situations. Transform Ochaco into a self-destructive selfless person who gives more than she possibly had to give and believes that she should bear the pain and punishment of everyone around her even when she doesn’t deserve it, listening and sharing the pain of others while only ever pushing hers down and letting it rot her from the inside.
I don’t know I’m just really inspired by that movie, I’m still getting chills just thinking of it and I can’t sleep. I want to write this myself because of the vision I see for it but I’ve never written a fic and if someone does write this then I want to see it.
