This game is so good
Every few years I come back to this game for a season or so not long commitment;
its so engaging and rewarding- every APM counts, every new strat idea counts, every matchup counts, every cheese counts (W or L). typical matches are like 6-10 minutes, the longest match will be like 25 minutes which feels pretty breezy compared to other games.
Getting cheesed is a brilliant display of adaption and resilience,
planning my PvZ; early natural, charge zealot spam (beat the lings, they adapt into roach), into 2 phoenix into a void ray (kill overlords, beat the roach and force a hydra transition) into a colossus (beat the hydra) and zealots flanking all over FEELS BRILLIANT
next game was a rematch... and fucking nydus swarm hosts hit me at like 5 minutes wiping out my probes, my adaption was patrol zealots on the perimeter and keep the zerg on 2 base , he forced too much gas and didnt have the unit count to expand and eventually I overwhelmed him
I love getting proxy rax cheesed: scout their base, scouting the rax, and then I sneak 2 zealot across the map and it decimates their mineral line while I hold with a shield battery and adepts
this game is so so so fucking brilliant and expressive, gotta love it, so glad it exists!
I also quit Dota2 this year and this game has been amazing to fill the vacancy.
