Bed rack advice

First picture is of my Taco, second picture is a better view of the bed rails. I recently acquired an avid half cab height bed rack from my work besties dad. It was sitting in his yard for about a year. He used to own a 2012 Taco then a Jeep Gladiator. My Taco is a 2017 and since the rack was machined to fit a gladiator, the rack is too narrow side by side by a half inch (1/4 inch if the rack is properly centered). Also, because of where the rails are, putting the rack on the bed how it's supposed to be causes the bolt holes on the rack to be 1/8 of an inch too low for the rail. Ideally I would like to keep the rails installed, while also having the rack as I plan to do overlanding camping trips with the same work bestie. What is the best way for me to mount the rack? Again ideally while keeping the rails, but if they gotta go then they gotta go.
