I saw this you tube video pop up on my feed about Toyota tacoma + other model and manufacturers putting trackers in truck / autos.
My first thought was like meh I call b.s on this so I went out to my truck to check & sure as shet there was one!! Crazy!
Check you trucks and autos!
My truck has been in the shop for a month, I hit a deer, just got it back this evening. Have been driving a gen 4 SR5 in the interim. I got back in my 21 today and it was strikingly different in a good way. I felt like I was back in a Tacoma. I like the seating position of the new ones much more but that might be it. I thought about upgrading because I’ve been driving the new one for a month, but once I got back in mine I just would not consider. The V6 feels better, and the wire steering on the new one I absolutely hated. I’m extremely happy to be back in this one. I feel connected to the road again. But everyone has different things they prioritize 🤷♂️
Thought it was a a typo at first. Wild to think one owner drove only 2,700 miles in 10 years of owning this truck. Price is bananas too
03 Tacoma double cab right behind the drivers side front wheel. Thanks in advance.
Looking into getting new tires soon. What’s a better look for tacomas ? Seen a few that have that chrome rim look beautiful as well as the bronze rims.

Brought this 21 Tacoma Off-Road 4x4 33k miles on it 3 weeks ago and I been having some problems with it. When driving 45-65 i hear a howling sound when letting go of the gas petal. As well when I lightly press the gas howling sound continues I thought it was the transmission because I noticed the truck jerks slightly every now and then in low rpms but after reading a bunch of forums and articles about it apparently it’s a normal thing for the transmission (Toyota sluggish transmission). I did more research and found this on google and did more research about the rear differential issue specifically on 22s & 23s which is under warranty after telling and explaining this to the dealership they told me that the rear differential looked completely fine and that it “probably normal” because when letting go of the gas petal the torque is being echoed through the truck which sounds like BS after insisting that it is the rear diff he brings up a another reason that the tires are “ kinda worn out “ so yeah I’m honestly kinda stuck and don’t know what to do.
I'm out of town for work using my 2016 Taco. Hit a bump and this fell out. Is it anything important? Thanks guys!
Been a toyota Family for 25 years now - had a camry, a scion tc, a highlander and now looking at the 2026 Tacoma TRD sport in bronze oxide. It looks great and I’ve always love toyotas but I keep reading about how I should get used instead. There are almost no used cars by me and if I find one under 100,000 miles they fly.
Has anyone had issues with the new tacoma engine/transmission? Can I feel good about buying one for normal driving or should I keep looking for used?
I myself lile them, makes it feel "premium" im running the sport ones on my TRD Sport
Was at the dealership getting oil and tires rotated... On the drive home, I could smell oil. I needed gas, so after 10 miles, I pulled over to fill up. I noticed the truck smoking. Looked under the truck and the entire undercarriage was covered in oil. Service center sent a flatbed and it is back at the dealership. Nothing on the dipstick. Dealer claims a bad oring. Dealer is rushing to return the vehicle claiming no damage. My 36k mile warranty expires in 6 months. I opened a ticket with Toyota corporate and have since refused delivery. What are my next steps? Does this happen often?
I recently bought a 2022 Limited and it came with a Pro Tops cap. I don't want it and don't have room to store it. When I post it online I don't get any interest, even with prices where I'm basically giving it away (although I've avoided Craigslist up to this point, but will use it as a last resort).
Does anyone in So Cal know of any companies who will buy used shells in good shape?
Trying to decide between Wildpeak AT4w at 255/85/r16 or Rubitreks at 285/75/r16. Want better on road comfort, better MPGs, less sluggishness than the KO2s (285/75/r16) I’m currently on. Both will be fine for the off-roading I do. Any suggestions here between the pizza cutters or the Rubitreks?
I bought a set of 3W weather mats about a year ago after buying a 2016 Tacoma SR5. I've had no trouble with them until now.
After checking to see if the AC drain was clogged (it was not), I took it to a mechanic to see if there were any other leaks and they said that nothing was found.
So, now, I'm scratching my head wondering what the issue may be. The carpet underneath is dry after a rain so I'm thinking it has to be the humidity in Louisiana and the cold AC in the truck causing condensation under the weather mats.
Any thoughts?
Well, here I am. Me and the wife made it 8 years on one vehicle, our 19’ Sequoia was the best. I decided a few months ago after we got her a 24’ Tx that we needed a little truck. Being a former service manager at Toyota, I’m kinda particular. This little 2010 shows up with 115k on the clock and 43 service records and just right on the $$. Put my $500 down and here it is. Super clean, not a squeak, some minor little dings, but, it’s perfect for us.
I purchased the "TripleAliners Truck Bed Mat" in picture #2 for my 4th gen. I would like to fasten it down by removing the bed bolts and reinstalling it though the divots for a cleaner and more secure install. Atleast the two up-front closest to the cab and the rope tie-downs near the tailgate.
Its only 2-3mm thick and compresses easily, so I don't anticipate that I'll need longer bolts. I plan on reinstalling the bolts with Loctite blue. (I've read some forums that say that Loctite was used on these bolts from he factory).
Anyone have any recommendations before I go ahead?
EDIT: The hive-mind has come to a decision. I will not fasten the mat down with even one bed bolt.
