It's been great up in the PNW. Matching doggles bonus!
Bought my 2026 Tacoma TRD Sport ~3months ago (LOVE IT). After a week or so, I noticed a singular beeeep that would randomly chime in the cabin. Sometimes I’d go days without hearing it, other days I’d hear it multiple times. Did the usual, checked under seats, glove box, door compartments, etc…..
Well, today I sat and waited. With a flashlight, on my back, I found this attached via adhesive tab to the inside of the floor went. It’s one of those annoying noise makers, designed to drive people insane! Literally not visible without a flashlight and looking straight up at it from the floor.
Truck is never left unlocked and only my wife has ever been in it and this is 💯 not her doing.
Could always be a prank but honestly, I can’t see how or who in my orbit as this was so meticulously placed, and began almost immediately after purchase….. could this have been a dealer scam to get me back into the dealership for service? Anyone hear of such a thing?
Excited to finally own a truck. Any must-have suggestions?
Spent the weekend in the Bighorns and hit a few mild trails and creek crossings. About to hit 140,000 and it drives like a new truck.
Had it about a month now, and finally took the chance yesterday to take an on-road day trip of central Oregon.
overall we’re big fans of it. The new auto doesn’t search for gears on the highway like our 3rd gen did, and the electric torque fill sure helped In the small off-road trail we tried our hand at with it.
Already ordered: a full rack to replace the chase rack it came with; the family will be happy when I can get this pile of stuff from the last rig out of the garage!
Happy 5th I guess
Picked up in January, 2020 and still feels new to me.
California truck with an absolutely pristine undercarriage. Added an OEM TRD Pro grill, AFE intake for a little growl, and those shackles with the air dam modified to fit them. I think I'm in the minority of folks that actually like the air dam! Since I'm in Illinois, I'm planning to fluid film the frame, and I want to replace those ugly aftermarket headlights with OEM 2020+ LEDs.
can you guys tell I'm excited?
Stock, original springs (as far as I know) on my 2015 TRD Sport are looking pretty saggy, but I don’t know much and see lots of conflicting things on the internet. I have a semi “lightweight“ camper set up (bout 500lbs) that I drive around with all summer, so my rear is sitting a bit lower than the fronts, understandably. shocks are newer bilstein 5100s.
Found this on carvana with 77k miles on it. I've been wanting this truck for quite some time. So far I've put a 3.5 lift on it with new rims and tires. Couldn't be happier with this truck
I have a 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trd off-road and wanted to change the blue part of the interior to white to match the exterior of the truck. What would be the best way to make this change? Is there anywhere that sells something I can go over top of it or like a vinyl wrap be the best option?
Went camping for a week and slept inside the truck. This cheap set up worked well for me at 5’9. Wish I got the 6ft bed at times.
After countless times airing up my tires after a trail day under the scorching hot AZ sun, I undertook a lil project to make my life easier. I hardwired my trusty 6 year old Viair 400P Automatic into the bed of my truck, and paired it with a Morrflate 4 hose manifold. I cannot say enough good things about Morrflate, and if I ever decide to upgrade to a dual compressor I will absolutely choose a Morrflate unit based on my experience with customer support alone. Sean at Morrflate answered all my questions regarding what hoses, adapters, etc to get, and texted me intermittently during my install to see how things were going-and never once tried to upsell me on getting one of his compressors.
Anyway-because the Viair requires 30 amps, I didn’t want to power it from my Auxbeam panel, however I DID want to control it from my Auxbeam. So I got to try my hand at using a relay for the first time. After reading up on them a good bit, I felt like I had a pretty good understanding and got to work. I ran a 10g power wire from the battery through a 40 amp circuit breaker, to a 40 amp relay, and then to a busbar. I then connected the other ports of the relay to my Auxbeam panel. Then to compensate for voltage drop, I ran a 6gauge marine grade wire to a busbar in the frond of the truck bed. From that busbar I connected 10g power and ground to the compressor. I didn’t want to play guessing games with my ground, so I have the 6 gauge ground running from the truck bed to the negative battery terminal.
I bought a bedrail system from Toyota (because my 2018 TRD Pro didn’t have one 🤦♂️). I then mounted an Amazon molle panel to it covering the front of the bed. I bought a Viair “universal mounting bracket” and mounted the compressor to it with rubber isolators to help with vibration. I also bought a roll of rubber mat from Ace Hardware and cut it to fit the back of the bracket to again help with vibration. I slid some T-Slot bolts into the bedrail and used them to mount the bracket. With the compressor mounted I used a 7 foot hose with the proper adapter made by Morrflate to run the air hose to the tailgate underneath the driver side bedrail.
Now, when it’s time to air up, I simply drop the tailgate, hook up the 4 hose manifold, attach it to the tires, and then sit in my air conditioned cab and press the button on my Auxbeam. It takes me just over 12 minutes to go from 10 to 38 psi in all 4 tires. No more popping the hood and connecting alligator clamps to the battery and burning up under the sun going tire to tire. No more explaining to good samaritans that I don’t need help because they see me on the side of the road with my hood up. For roughly $250 in parts (bedrail, molle panel, bracket, and wires) I have an onboard air system that I’m VERY happy with. Obviously that 250 doesn’t include the Morrflate hoses or compressor since I already had it.
Also-I mounted the relay to the side of the engine bay using one of those convenient threaded holes that are scattered about and not used. They fit an M8 bolt if anyone is wondering. Puctures are kinda out of order- I don’t post so I’m not that good at it
