My first Tacoma was a 2023 Trd off-road that I did a couple things to here and there and I loved that truck. About two weeks ago I picked up a 2026 trail hunter.

I was going back through the photos and honestly, I can’t decide which one I like more. I figured with the new truck excitement probably the trail hunter but man that 3rd gen is like your first love. Always thinkin about it lol. What do yall think?

Extra: On the trail hunter what do we think on taking the rocker steps off? I think it’ll boost the truck up a little bit and just take some bulk off.

About a month ago, I just traded out of my Lexus back to a Tacoma (I had the previous generation, included in the end). Counting exactly 30 days.. I don’t think I have anything negative to say about the truck. I’ve been enjoying it endlessly and have the same amount of fun and excitement as the previous Tacoma I had. The “trail hunter” trim I have found to be pretty cool and offer plenty of practical features. So much so I’m planning an over landing trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains!

I guess I’m wondering what the communities’s opinion of these trail hunters are and if anyone has any cool recommendations or suggestions for what I could do to it I’m all ears.
