Omega Quoted Me 35 Weeks for a Speedmaster Reduced Service. Anyone Else Seeing This?
Local AD (USA) just called and said the original 12-week estimate was wrong. Apparently older Omegas now have to be sent to Geneva for service. New estimate: 35 weeks.
For those who’ve dealt with Geneva service recently:
- Are Omega’s turnaround estimates actually accurate?
- Do they tend to overquote timelines?
- Anyone get their watch back significantly sooner?
This is for a 1990s Speedmaster Reduced. Full movement service only. No polishing, no bracelet work, no cosmetic restoration requested.
35 weeks feels pretty brutal, so I’m hoping they’re being extremely conservative. Curious what real-world experiences have been lately.
