How do you deal with freelance clients/employers getting defensive about deadlines? I want to make sure I manage expectations and I need advice. I would love to hear them.

In my experience in the industry, I have become accustomed to tight turnarounds and consistently deliver high-quality designs quickly. However, over the past three years, I've noticed that some companies always expect work to be completed immediately and tend to respond defensively when asked about deadlines.

To effectively prioritize projects, it's essential to understand timelines and deliverable expectations. If everything is treated as a priority, then nothing can truly be prioritized.

Additionally, I have observed that skipping over the scoping process can lead to incomplete project requests and numerous content revisions, which ultimately requires further revisions in the design phase. This bleeds into other ASAP tasks, and the loop happens again.

How do you address this challenge in your professional practice?

Hi! I’m looking to join a fun group that just plays a sport for fun. It could be pickleball, softball, whichever.

Any recommendations?
